Apparently reflux has become an epidemic among babies now-a-days. Since we have been talking to other parents about Aiden's reflux we have found that many babies are having to deal with the same issues. He would gurgle and spit up after eating and then start screaming right after he would make these sounds. The doctor said it was reflux so we started adding rice cereal to his formula... that lead to constipation... so we had to add prune juice/ caro syrup to his bottles....After weeks of him screaming and letting out cries of pain we were finally were able to get his formula right...It was like a chemistry experiment : too much prune juice = diarrhea, too much rice = constipation and bloating... We eventually switched to oatmeal to keep his tummy from swelling after feeding.. and finally he seems to be a happy baby now. He has been going 4-5 hours between bottles and has been sleeping about 6 hours at night... still waiting on that full nights sleep that's supposed to be coming.
Well we said good-bye to Kelli's High School car and hello to a new 2011 VW Jetta TDI. Chris really needed a car with good gas mileage to drive to and from work each day. Also Kelli's car had a lot of issues (tire problem, windows didn't roll down, 2 our of 4 cylinders were bad... list goes on). So now we have a safe car for the whole family that gets great gas mileage.

Last weekend was our 6 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been so long, it seems like just yesterday that we were dancing together for the first time at Rabbs... and now 8 years later, 6 years married, we not only still have each other, but we have a house, a new baby, a new car, and two great jobs. God has really blessed us and hopefully will continue to help us out along the way.
Other than that we've just been adjusting to being parents. It's wonderful when we see his happy little smile, and when he is cooing and happy on his play mat or in his bouncer... but then when he's screaming or fussy and wants something that we can't figure out (especially when it's at 3am) those are the hard times. It's still hard to believe that we are parents. Every time we look at our little man we are amazed at what we have been given and are thankful for his health and even his cries, because over all I don't think we were given a hard baby, he's a good one... hopefully he will continue to be the easy baby that he is :)
